I-CORE Business Case Competition

Role: Marketing Lead & Visual Designer
Course: I-Core, Kelley School of Business

In Kelley’s fast-paced I-Core consulting challenge, our team had two weeks to solve a real-world case for Prosalus Solutions, a security tech company exploring a biometric product launch.

I led the marketing strategy—developing our buyer personas, STP model, go-to-market plan, and competitive analysis—while also designing and organizing our final report. Working cross-functionally with finance, ops, and leadership, we built a fully integrated business recommendation under pressure.

MARKETING ME: MY FIRST BRAND STORY

This short video was my introduction to branding—and to myself. Created during my sophomore year, it marked the moment I stopped trying to be cookie-cutter and started embracing my creative side.

I began discovering my own voice, values, and personal brand. I reflected on the unique experiences that shaped my worldview—and in the process, fell in love with the world of marketing, especially media, advertising, and brand strategy.

It could use an update—but it’s where it all started.

THE BUZZFEED MARKETING CHALLENGE

This was one of the first projects that made marketing real for us. We had one week to develop, publish, and promote a BuzzFeed article that could reach at least 1,000 views—combining digital content creation, influencer outreach, campaign management, and audience analytics all in one.

We selected a niche target audience, ran our own market research, built an outreach plan, and promoted the article across multiple channels. It was the ultimate test of how well we understood product-market fit, consumer behavior, and emotional appeal—and it taught us how to be creative under pressure while thinking like true strategists.

Influencer STRATEGY RESEARCH

Partnering with Friends of Indy Animals, my team conducted a full-scale marketing research project to optimize their social media and influencer fundraising. Using Qualtrics and SPSS, we applied t-tests, regressions, and mediation analysis to uncover what drives donations.

Insight: Emotional, behind-the-scenes content paired with targeted influencer outreach was more effective than broad social campaigns.

This project strengthened my skills in survey design, data analysis, and insight-driven strategy—while supporting a mission that mattered.

Innovation project: Proposal & pitch

Role: Co-Creator | Strategy & Communications Lead for Innovation project
Course: Creativity & Communication, Kelley School of Business

FlexiFit, a smart gym management system, was born out of a simple insight: student gyms are overcrowded, chaotic, and frustrating. Our team set out to solve that with a smart gym management concept that combines sensor tech, real-time data, and a seamless student-facing app.

I led communication strategy and worked on user personas, value propositions, and the investor-facing pitch. The concept included personalized workout planning based on live equipment availability, an admin dashboard for university staff, and projected revenue models based on scalable sensor and software sales.

This project challenged us to think like innovators—from user pain points to go-to-market strategy.
